Crystal Machine

This is my first “stained-glass fractal”.
I want you all to know that I’m not one of those fractalists who approaches this wonderful artform from a mathematical point of view. In fact, I attach much more value to the aesthetical aspect of fractal art.

Therefore, I’m the first to admit that I am not able (and probably never will be) to achieve this stained-glass technique from scratch by only relying on my own knowledge. I mean, I understand the technique, but I’m not smart enough (mathematically spoken) to figure it all out by myself. So basically, I studied some parameters that were released in the =Apophysis chatroom and followed my own way from there.

Crystal Machine is the result of a lot of studying and a lot of manipulating. I tried to combine both technique and aesthetics but I also wanted to give it a personal touch, because I don’t like to create random stuff that you see everyday. Of course this still looks like a stained-glass fractal, but I hope you people will also recognize some different elements in it that you haven’t seen before in these kind of fractals.
